TOPICS:

Artist Strategies for Exhibition

Presented by Bert Green, Director and Owner of Bert Green Fine Art and Founder of the Downtown Art Walk

How does an artist get their work noticed by a gallery? What are the best ways to develop an exhibition resume? Bert Green, director of Bert Green Fine Art, will talk about what gallery owners look for, and what artists should expect when working with a gallery. Q&A to follow.

Marketing Your Art

Presented by Shana Nys Dambrot, LA Managing Editor at Flavorpill.com and LA Editor for Whitehotmagazine.com

Now that you’ve got your work in a gallery, what’s next? Most galleries do some basic PR, but you can't rely on them to do it all, especially an alternative space or pop-up. We'll talk about what you can expect, how to use social media, how to most strategically and effectively approach the press and the public, the value of buying ads, making catalogs and more. Q&A to follow.
